The Composition of Electronic Cigarettes And E-Liquids

Electronic cigarettes were introduced into the market less than 10 years ago. They have gained popularity over the years as smokers choose to buy e-cigarettes as opposed to traditional cigarettes. Most electronic cigarettes actually resemble conventional cigarettes in appearance. The only difference between e-cigs and regular cigarettes is that on the inside, the former do not contain tobacco. While most people shift to electronic cigarettes for various reasons, one thing is true. E-cigarettes come in many designs and flavours. This gives smokers a variety of cigarette flavours to choose from depending on their personal taste and even their mood.

How to Operate E-Cigs

Manufacturers normally design their electronic cigarettes to look like conventional cigarettes. However, e-cigs do not require a flame to light them up. Electronic cigarettes are devices that are powered when their batteries are charged. When charged, the cigarettes can then convert the e-juice in them into mist-like vapour. The vapour that is subsequently released is what smokers "vape." This is one reason why e-cigs do not produce smoke, smells, and ashes. For an electronic cigarette to function, one has to keep it charged. Some are charged using electricity while others can be charged on a computer using a USB cable.

What is E-Liquid?

Electronic cigarettes have parts known as cartridges that contain a liquid. This liquid is known as e-juice or e-liquid. E-liquids are manufactured using three main ingredients, namely, vegetable glycerin, propylene glycol, and flavour. E-liquid manufacturers usually blend these ingredients in various percentages to come up with varying strengths of e-juice. Many flavours are also used to give electronic cigarette smokers a wide range of varieties to pick from. Some of the most common flavours include espresso, cherry, mango, pineapple, and even vanilla. There are electronic cigarettes that come with cartridges that contain the e-liquid whereas others do not.

What to Consider When Choosing E-Liquids

When choosing e-liquid for electronic cigarettes, smokers should always consider a number of factors. One of the main factors is the concentration of the e-juice. This determines the strength of the vapour that is subsequently released when the e-cig is charged. When buying e-liquids, it is therefore important to look at the concentration of vegetable glycerin and propylene glycol in them. This is usually measured in milligrams or millilitres depending on the manufacturing company. For those who make their e-juice at home, varying the flavour and concentration of the ingredients is quiet easy. The trick lies in testing the e-juice for the perfect concentration that suits your smoking needs.

What I really like about this is you can have one e-cig but have a variety of "flavours" It's pretty interesting to see the variety of flavours out there. Might have to try some of them.
